Luke's First Novel - Chapter 1

CHAPTER ONE

_________________________

 A LITTLE INTRO...

It’s not my fault that I launched myself through the drugstore roof, it’s not my fault that poor lady is still up in that tree, it’s not my fault that there are all those exotic snakes all over the city. Of course you could blame those monster babies, or that unidentified flying Harley Davidson, heck you could even blame the poor starving people in Africa, but no this mess was all my fault because I couldn’t take responsibility.
I learned my lesson the hard way. From now on I’m taking responsibility.  No more excuses for me never,
never, never again.  Not even if you torture me make me eat worms or make me listen to some of that crazy rap music at full blast (Well maybe then). But other than that I’m taking responsibility from now on.
It all started when my best friend Eddy and I were talking about our financial difficulties (in other words we were trying to rob each other blind) when we walked by the toy store window and there it was,
The Ultra Boy Game System, the video gamer’s  dream! And there were those four magical letters SALE.  Eddy and I stared in amazement with our mouths open so far that are chins were dragging on the ground.
Then, we stared at each other then rushed home to count up our savings. Back at my house we added up our savings. “I’ve got two dollars. ”I said. “That’s two more than I’ve got.” Eddy replied. I guess that we are going to have to earn some money “Don’t look at me, my parents won’t let me do any chores. Remember the last time we tried to earn some money I commented.”  Yeah there is still toothpaste on the ceiling fan.” Eddy mumbled. (Yeah) I replied.
