What Happened Between 1450-1500

During this time period, three major events were occurring:

  • The Renaissance
  • The Reformation
  • The Period of Exploration.

In 1520 the Aztecs in Mexico were almost wiped out by the Spanish came. There were Incas in Peru; but in 1530 they were almost wiped out too by the Spanish. These two native tribes rich and had nice homes. The Aztecs started to grow and to feed there family with food they grew.

In 1515 after all non-Catholics leave Spain Ferdinand finally becomes king of United Spain. And in Italy, they started to make more machines then there neighbors wanted to kill them to get the machines.

In Europe, between 1520-1618 was the Protestant reformation, in the Protestant reformation we had it because of Martin Luther broke away from the Catholics and became Protestant.

In 1465-1525 Vasco de gama sailed around Africa to India. And 1480-1521 Magellan went around the world. In 1509 Henry the 18th became king of England. Henry married Catherine the daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. In 1500s the Portuguese explored the world. Selim the 1st gained Syria, Arabia, and Egypt between 1512 and 1520. In 1585 the Spanish discoverd ST. Augustine. In 1585 England discovered Roanoke.
