What Happened Between 1450-1500

Christopher Columbus grew up in Genoa, Italy. Christopher Columbus was a kid who wanted to be a sailor, but his father wanted him to become a weaver. Most people knew the world was round and not flat, but Christopher Columbus made the trip anyway. Because the Muslims were blocking the path to India and China, Christopher Columbus decided to sail to the west from Spain, to India: he tried, but he ended up in the Bahamas. He did not know about the Western hemisphere. He made four trips back and forth from the Bahamas to Spain, but where did he get the ships and money? King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella provided everything. And what about the crew? He also got it from Spain, but the crew didn’t trust him until two well-known captains singed up. After Christopher Columbus discovered the Bahamas, the Spanish discovered South America. And when they did, they met the Indians. The Spanish thought they were superior to the Indians because the Spanish had clothes, guns, ships, and they knew how to spell and read. The Renaissance was a revival of art and learning in Europe between the 15th and 17th centuries.
