Global History Between 1450-1500

At the end of the 15th Century, Columbus landed in the Bahamas because the Bahamas were in the way of his travel to Asia. Columbus wanted to find another route to Asia because the Muslims blocked all the land trade routes from Europe to Asia.

Columbus wanted to be a sailor, but his parents did not want him to be a sailor. Columbus lived in Genoa, Italy.  Columbus sailed to Spain to get money from the king and queen of Spain. At first, Columbus did not have a crew because he was not trusted; but later, two trusted sailors signed up, then he got a crew.

The Renaissance was the time of great learning, and it was in 1450-1600 throughout Europe.
