Super Size Me School Version For Kids

Home > Health Activities > Super Size Me School Version

We watched the movie Super Size Me as a family. This is a movie documenting what happened to a man that ate nothing but McDonalds meals for 30 days and cut down on his physical activity during that time period.  A warning however: This movie contains a small amount of R-rated language and scenes.  We used the ClearPlay Movie Filter to remove all the objectionable language and scenes.  It worked great.  Our 4 kids from age 6 up to age 12 watched. The movie Super Size Me provided great lessons in nutrition and it stressed the need for exercise. My 10-year old, who won't drink pop due to health concerns, will probably now never eat fast food again!  The movie was entertaining as well.  You can obtain this movie new for a little under $20 or used for under $10 at Amazon.com. The ClearPlay Movie Filter is a nice tool for filtering movies on DVD that may contain objectionable language or scenes. There is a school version of Super Size Me available for about $40 at the SuperSizeMe.com website but I have not checked it out yet.
